Music, dance and theater have been central components of Japanese culture for centuries, evolving over time and now becoming recognized as a world-class art form. Yuranza hosts and provides musical performances and workshops featuring traditional wagakki (Japanese instruments) such as taiko (Japanese drums), shinobue (Japanese seven-hole flute), shamisen (Japanese three-string instrument), and koto (Japanese zither). Placing these historical instruments within a modern musical performance, Yuranza rebrands and creates a place for wagakki within modern society. The innovative productions by Yuranza combine music, theater, and dance to create a performing arts piece that connects communities and people.
