Gyogakuin Kakurinbo
At Gyogakuin Kakurinbo
, a temple lodging located in Minobu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture—home to Kuon-ji Temple, the head temple of the Nichiren sect and part of Mount Minobu, one of Japan’s three great sacred mountains of Buddhism—we produced performance content for tour visitors, based on the 750-year story of this historic region. Minobu Town, where Buddhist culture remains deeply rooted, offers numerous tranquil cultural experiences focused on spiritual training and traditional crafts.
To complement these calm and reflective activities, we created an original live performance unique to this area—an expressive “active” experience designed to leave a lasting impression on guests. Over two days on-site, we crafted a participatory performance that wove local stories into an immersive narrative. The result was a remarkable moment where international guests were filled with excitement, and everyone present began to connect and communicate through the shared energy of the experience.
